Christ was expecting far worse and it could've been. But more were arrested at man utd v city and more smashed up.kid got hit is not good, but equally bad is taking your kid to an away cup derby at night. You like to think these are teething issues and each game it does actually improve. Imagine if we'd stayed in the Europa and 2 ties with Roma.

As I said you can't condone people lobbing stuff at them - It's hardly self defense is it giving them stuff to lob back.
If they had broken through and attacked you then defend yourself by all means but it would have been easy enough to have moved out the way and protect your poor soft head whilst it was dealt with.

Lets face it, the majority who wanted that position next to the away fans expected something to happen in this game.

Nobody should condone lobbing things at opposition supporters inside the stadium. Pathetic small minded behavior from people who have a problem with self control.
Chanting and posturing is really just a load of hot air and doesn't bother me so much. Football is tribal and I don't want it sanitised to the point there is no atmosphere or banter.

If you want a fight with someone then take it elsewhere. It's utter stupidity to fight or try to in front of all the cameras and press.
